The Baker’s Studio is located in Kashiram, a village located in Dimapur, Nagaland. The enterprise was established in April 2018 by Ms. L. Salangtemla Jamir (28). The enterprise is engaged in the processing of Bakery-based products like Cakes, Cookies, Pastries, Doughnuts, Bread, etc.

Ms. L. Salangtemla Jamir wanted to upgrade her enterprise in order to meet the increasing market demand for the products. She came to know about the PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme through social media. After applying under the PMFME Scheme, she received a bank loan (Bank of Baroda) of Rs. 24,49,886.

With the loan amount, she purchased a Cream Beater, a Cake Mixer, a Spiral Mixer, a Deck Oven, a Dough Sheeter, a Proofer (12 Trays), a Cooling Trolley, a Fridge and a Freezer (4 Door), a Working Table, an Unox Bakertop Oven, a Bread Slicer, a Planetary Mixer, an SS Table with a Sink and Aluminum Perforated Trays.

After the installation of the machinery, the per day production capacity of the enterprise increased from 75 kg to 150 kg. The daily profit generation of the enterprise also witnessed an increase from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 55,000.

The products are being marketed via a retail outlet in Dimapur. The enterprise is marketing the products through social media and e-commerce platforms as well. The financial turnover of The Bakers Studio for FY 2021-22 was Rs.28,89,650.
