Kullu Rasoi is located in Dhalpur, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. The enterprise was established in November 2021 by Ms. Leela Devi (38) who is also a member of the Kiran Self Help Group. The enterprise is engaged in the processing of products like Pickles, Sheera and Badiyan.

Ms. Leela Devi was searching for avenues where she could seek financial support in order to meet the working capital requirement of her enterprise and purchase small tools for food processing. During a meeting organized by the Kullu City Mission Management Unit (CMMU) on the PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, she came to know about the Seed Capital support provided to Self Help Group members under the PMFME Scheme for working capital and purchase of small tools.

With the support of CMMU DAY-NULM, she received a Seed Capital amount of Rs.40000 under the PMFME Scheme. With the amount, she purchased utensils, a basket, a stove (Bhati), a sealing machine and packaging boxes.

After the installation of the machinery, the per day production capacity of the enterprise increased from 1kg to 3kg. The increase witnessed in the production capacity also resulted in an increment in the daily profit generation of the enterprise from Rs.150 to Rs.350. The Seed Capital amount is also being utilized by Ms. Leela Devi to meet the working capital requirement of the enterprise.

The products are being marketed via local stores, retail outlets and wholesale in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. The enterprise is marketing the products through local exhibitions organized by or in convergence under DAY-NULM Schemes and other various State Government exhibitions. The financial turnover of Kullu Rasoi for FY 2021-22 was Rs.1,00,000.
