Kaalki Corporation is located in Purusottampur, a village situated in Kendrapara, Odisha. Established in July 2022 by Mr. Ranjan Kumar Swain (44), the enterprise is engaged in the processing of Dairy-based bakery products.

Prior to setting up his food processing unit, Mr.Ranjan Kumar Swain had worked in the food and chemical sector for more than 24 years. He was interested in setting up a food processing unit and was searching for avenues that could provide financial assistance for this purpose. He came to know about the PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme through General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kendrapara.

After applying under the PMFME Scheme, he received a bank loan (UCO Bank) of Rs.66,50,000. With the loan amount, he purchased a Mechanical Gas Operated Oven, a Cookie Dropping Machine, Two Planetary Mixtures, Trolleys, Moulds, Crates and other accessories.

After the installation of the machinery, the enterprise is operating at a per day production capacity of 1500kg and generating a daily profit of Rs.2000.

The products are being marketed via local stores, retail outlets and wholesale in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts in Odisha. The enterprise is marketing the products through social media platforms, website and e-commerce platforms.
