Annapoorna Foods India is located in Bhiwadi, Alwar, Rajasthan. Established in 2013, the enterprise deals in the processing, value addition, and packaging of cereals like corn flakes, choco flakes, oats, and muesli. Mrs. Sudha Mahipal (founder) manages the enterprise with the help of her husband Mr. Ratan Mahipal and their son Mr. Viral Mahipal.

The enterprise was her first experience in manufacturing breakfast cereals. She identified a gap in the market and with the help of her family, started manufacturing and private labelling for businesses. Slowly and steadily, the business grew and so did their footing in the market with an increased number of clients procuring the product in bulk from their enterprise.

She felt that the need of the hour was to have a fully automated plant with zero human interference and started to explore various automation options available in the market. After a lot of R&D, she was able to achieve the target of automating the process of manufacturing by minimizing human interference to such an extent that only the human interaction was at the loading and unloading stage of the material. The rest of the manufacturing process was fully automatic.

The business and production capability of the enterprise experienced a major boost with the financial support received under the PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. With the Scheme’s support, the enterprise purchased an automatic filling machine and is now able to pack about 3000 kg material per day via complete automation while maintaining hygiene standards. The machinery functions seamlessly and performs the task of filling, weighing, packaging, labelling and impurity removal during the processing stage as well.

This Aatmanirbhar Enterprise is selling products across India and is involved in B2B & B2C marketing, private labelling, third party manufacturing, exports, government tenders, and sells to army canteen as well. They are exporting their products to Nepal and they are planning to export to Sri Lanka, Thailand and Indonesia.

Mrs. Sudha Mahipal aims to empower women in rural and semi-urban areas. Being a women entrepreneur, she continues to work towards providing the women workforce at her enterprise with a friendly working environment and aspires to make them financially independent.

She envisions providing the world with healthy & hygienic food products and increasing the income of farmers. With the support of the PMFME Scheme, she hopes to fulfill Hon’ble Prime Minister’s message of Vocal for Local and his vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. This Aatmanirbhar Enterprise has achieved growth of 200% in its sales for FY 2021, and are committed to continue the trend on a year on year basis.
